Ian Carroll is a software developer with 20yrs experience in software development, managing developers, and training software development teams on how to cross the finish line on software projects. Ian has provided consultancy and training to companies such as AstraZeneca, Unilever, BT, Hewlett Packard, Ofsted, DfES and the Inland Revenue. Ian has co-founded four companies, Yandaq Ltd in 1996, Global Smart Media Ltd in 2001, Livesmart Ltd in 2003, and Solutioneers Ltd in 2007.
Ian has been involved in hundreds of projects and worked with a large variety of team sizes (10 – 190 developers). With this in-depth exposure to the right and wrong ways of delivering projects he’s managed to collect and document the many things that can go wrong on projects and the more subtle influences on project delivery.
